Delma B. Weiche, age 89, of Blue Rapids, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Blue Valley Senior Living in Blue Rapids.Delma was born November 13, 1928, at her family’s farm just west of Waterville. Her parents were Hiram Newell Lillibridge, Jr and Agnes Emma Clara (Holle) Lillibridge. She married Paul D. Weiche on October 31, 1945 at Washington. He passed away on December 9, 1997. Delma was a farm wife and when not helping on the farm, she worked at the Country Inn in Waterville.Throughout her adult life, Delma centered family and friends first. Coffee with her friends started many of her days. Meals were celebrations with big family gatherings at her kitchen table, in the field, or at a ballgame even with just a moments notice. "Card Parties" were rotated between her own home with Paul and all of her sisters' homes (Roy and Lucille, Vi and Ed, Mac and Wilson, Eva and Charlie) with "Pitch" being their favorite.Survivors include her three children; Vivian (Delmar) Yungeberg of Barnes, Delmar (Helen) Weiche of Barnes, and Delton Weiche of Blue Rapids, a brother Lloyd Lillibridge of Manhattan, a sister Eva Flower of Blue Rapids, 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Paul, a daughter Virginia Leonard, two brothers; Floyd Lillibridge and Earl “Peck” Lillibridge, five sisters; Lucille Nemechek, Vi Sedlacek, Mac Riesen, Helen Lillibridge and Agnes Lillibridge.Viewing is from noon to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, with visitation between 6:30 and 8:00 pm, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville.Funeral services are at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Barnes with Pastor Dan Norwood officiating. Jane Sedlachek is the musician. Music is to include “Amazing Grace” and "I'll Fly Away". Casket Bearers are Tony Weiche, Michael Weiche, Kelly Weiche, Scott Yungeberg, Kyle Yungeberg and Logan Weiche.
