Thomas J. 'Tom' Nolan

Thomas J. 'Tom' Nolan, age 59, of Marysville, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Community Memorial Health Care in Marysville.Tom was born on October 29, 1958, at Kansas City, Kansas, to James M. and Ernestine A. “Kramer” Nolan. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1976 and began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1978. He married Lisa R. Schell on December 31, 1997 at Marysville.Tom was a hardworking man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at the lake and being on his land down by Blue Rapids. He loved his kids, grandkids, dog Rudy and grand-dog Ruger.Survivors include his wife Lisa, his children; Whitney Nolan of Washington, David (Stevie) Lord of Marysville, three grandchildren; Jett, Jaxson and Jozie, four brothers; Jerry (Pam) Nolan of Sacramento, California, Bob (Alice) Nolan of Kansas City, Kansas, Pat (Jenni) Nolan of Jacksonville, Florida and Jimmy (Lisa) Nolan of Kansas, City, Kansas, four sisters; Mary (Sheldon) Oxner, Kathy Stockton, Ann Super and Nancy Fossett, all of Kansas City, Kansas.Preceding in death were his mom Ernestine, who passed away just hours after he did, his dad James, a sister Joyce Marques, mother-in-law Wilma Schell, brother-in-law Bill Stockton, sister-in-laws Lesli and Lauri Schell.St. Gregory Catholic Church will be open for respect calls on Friday, from Noon to 8:00 pm. Tom’s urn will be present.A Memorial Mass is planned for 10:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2018, at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Marysville with Father Nathan Haverland as the celebrant. Sterling Clark is the organist and Ron Grauer is the song leader. A prerecorded special of “Little Wonders” was played prior to the service. Hymns are to include ”Here I Am Lord”, “Amazing Grace”, “Oh Loving God” and “On Eagle’s Wings”.
