Ronald P. Mann, age 80, of Waterville, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at his home in Waterville.Ronnie was born April 28, 1937, at Breman, to Robert W. and Melba A. (Pecenka) Mann. The family moved to Waterville about the time Ronnie started school. He grew up custom harvesting with his parents. He graduated from Waterville High School with the class of 1955. After school he worked for a plumber learning the trade. Later he joined the Kansas Army National Guard and served until 1965. Soon after high school he met his future wife, Linda Oberhelman, they married on July 17, 1960 at Barnes. After their marriage he returned to custom harvesting. He retired from custom harvesting in 1992 and worked as a painter.Ronnie was a member of the Waterville United Methodist Church. Ronnie was a kind-hearted man. His actions spoke volumes for how he cared for his wife, children and grandchildren. His work; whether harvest or at home was done meticulously; as that is how he believed it should be done.Survivors include his wife Linda, their two sons; Tony (Ann) Mann and Tracy Mann, both of Waterville, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a brother Bob (Grace) Mann of Waterville.Viewing is from noon to 8:00 pm, Friday, with visitation between 6:30 and 8:00 pm, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville.Funeral services are at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the United Methodist Church in Waterville with Pastor Debby Dick officiating. The organist is Beverly Hedke and the soloist is Lynette Steele-Coon. Music is to include solos of “How Great Thou Art”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Amazing Grace”. Casket Bearers are Darren Mann, Ron Ewing, Rob Mann, Mark Oberhelman, Gary Mann and Mike Mann. Honorary Bearers are Don Mann, Fred Mann, Kerwin Mann, David Hearn, Kenny Winkenwader, Scott Blaske, Harlan Pecenka and Larry Pecenka. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Waterville.
