Larry L. Goodman

Larry L. Goodman, age 76, of Barnes, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington.Larry was born August 21, 1941, at Marysville, to Lyle O. and Neva M. (Jackson) Goodman. He graduated from Barnes Rural High School in 1959. Larry began farming with his grandfather Jackson at a young age. He could ride around for hours at a time simply looking at the land and checking out the crops. In later years he also went into the hog business until health issues forced him to retire.Larry enjoyed NASCAR racing and homemade ice cream, but traveling to Colorado was his passion and he never stopped planning his next trip!Survivors include his sister, Glenna (Fred) Engle of Abilene, Texas, two brothers; Jim (Joyce) Goodman of Beatrice, Nebraska and Jerry (Linda) Goodman of Montrose, Colorado, a niece Teresa Engle and nephew Brandon (Alethea) Engle. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bob Goodman.A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Barnes Firehouse in Barnes.A private inurnment at Maplewood Cemetery, west of Barnes, will be held on a later date.Memorials are suggested to the Michael J.
