Myrln D. Kindle

Myrln D. Kindle, age 97, of Barnes, passed away at the Blue Valley Senior Living in Blue Rapids on Thursday, February 15, 2018.Myrln was born February 2, 1921, to Myrl and Laura (Peterson) Kindle at the family farm south of Barnes. He joined the US Army during WWII. After the war he married Viola C. Walsh on July 18, 1945 at Flint Michigan, she passed away on February 14, 1997.Myrln worked on the family farm and enjoyed looking for treasures at auctions, flea markets and pawn shops.Myrln is survived by his three sons; Tom (Peggy) Kindle of Blue Rapids, Bruce (Pamela) Kindle of Waterville and Jim Kindle of San Diego, California, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son and a sister Bonnie Johnson.Funeral services are at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville with Mr. Rod Christie officiating. Burial is at Maplewood Cemetery, west of Barnes, Kansas.Memorials are suggested to Blue Valley Senior Living and may be sent in care of the funeral home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
