Amy R. Sutton

Amy Renee Sutton, 50, of Marysville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at her home in Marysville, Kan.  

Amy was born on July 18, 1971, at Marysville, Kan., to Leonard Sutton and Linda Kier.

Amy loved family gatherings, as the table was always a place to share good food, conversation and games. She had a big heart for animals, enjoyed the beach, relaxed with coloring and valued laughing and reminiscing with loved ones. Camping was her favorite pastime, as she loved being connected to nature. She took great pride in being an aunt to her two nephews and two nieces.  

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Martha “Grannie” Sutton, Blue Rapids; stepfather, Tom Kier; and grandmother, Alice Bisping.  

Amy is survived by her father and stepmother, Leonard and Romelia Sutton, Blue Rapids; mother, Linda Kier, Beattie; sister, Julie (Jon) Grauer, Marysville; half-brother, Matthew (Ali) Schott, Gardner; and half-sister, Angela Sutton, Blue Rapids.  

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Terry-Christie Funeral Home, Waterville.
