Andrea C. Richter

Andrea Caroline Richter, age 77 of Green, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Clay County Medical Center. She was born on April 5, 1938 in Idana, Kansas, the daughter of Russell E. and Irene Caroline (Lippe) Green. She graduated from Clay County Community High School. On October 14, 1956 at her parent’s home in Idana, she was married to Vance Richter. He survives of the home. Andrea was a farmer’s wife and homemaker and was proud that they had lived on the same property and had the same mail box for their entire married lives. She was a member of the Zion Fancy Creek United Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques, especially dolls and tin dishes. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lori Richter of Topeka and Terri Moses and David of Wichita; one son, Brian Richter and Diana of Emmett; three sisters, Judy Kircher of Concordia, Adair Hartman and Charles of Topeka and Faun Bauer and Bruce of Clay Center; one brother, Mark Green and Marilee of Idana; six grandchildren, Sean and Derek McAlister, Andrew and Aaron Moses and Justin and Adam Richter; two step grandchildren, Dustin Siegle and Dana Oxford and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Randolph United Methodist Church with Pastor Sandy Ferguson and Garrett Kennedy officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Tuesday at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Mayday Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for Zion Fancy Creek United Methodist Church. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
