Arlene L. Woellhof, age 87, of Clay Center, Kansas, died Tuesday April 2, 2013, at the Morton County Care Center in Elkhart, Kansas.
She was born in Clay Center, Kansas on October 13, 1925, the daughter of Sam and Ellen (Anderson) Weller.
On May 2, 1948, she was married to Oren Woellhof. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2010. She was also preceded in death by 1 son Steven Woellhof, 2 daughters Arlene and Julie Woellhof, and one sister, Frances Weller.
Arlene was a farm wife and had taught in one room schools in Clay County for several years, she had worked in the laundry department at the Cedar Court Motel, she had been a custodian at the Green Grade School and the Clay Center Community High School. She was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by one son, Daniel Woellhof and wife Joan of Lakin, Kansas, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service was held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center, Kansas, with the Rev. Rob Stewart officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
