Bonita Leah Sprecker Burgman, age 86 of Leonardville, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Leonardville Nursing Home.
She was born on June 14, 1928 in Randolph, the daughter of Fred and Hattie (Miller) Bulk.
On October 13, 1945 in Randolph, she was married to Marvin Sprecker. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2005. She later married Leo Burgman on August 28, 2005. He survives of the home.
She was a homemaker, drove a school bus for the Riley County school district, was a sales clerk for a clothing store in Clay Center and a campground host at Milford Lake. She was a member of the Leonardville United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Vicki Baer and Larry of Topeka, Gary Sprecker and Lois of Salina and Rodney Sprecker of Clay Center, five step children, Janet Munoz and Steve of Topeka, Shirley Vandahl and Vernon of Manhattan, John Burgman and Sandra of San Antonio, Teresa Hopper and Garth of Leonardville and David Burgman and Jane of Leonardville; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, four great step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Bulk, Walter Bulk and Franklin Bulk and one sister, Rita Toburen.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Thursday, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in the Leonardville United Methodist Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Leonardville United Methodist Church and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
