Darlene Y. Crabb, age 75 of Keats, KS, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, KS.
She was born on July 1, 1938, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Griffin) Crawford.
On June 16, 1957, at Frankfort, KS, she was married to Wilbur L. Crabb. He survives of the home.
Darlene was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking and painting. She also volunteered for the Red Cross and was a substitute teacher in Milford and Manhattan.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Louis Todd Crabb and wife Jeanette of Wadsworth, OH; three daughters, Laura Adinolfi of Olathe, Judy Zentz of Waukee, IA and Karla Sue Grayson and husband David of Manhattan; one brother, Larry Crawford and wife Judy of Topeka; one sister, Marilyn Dysinger of Springfield, MO; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Alisa Carol Matthews; one brother, Wayne Crawford and one grandson, Tyler Bland.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Pallbearers were Domenick Adinolfi, Aaron Grayson, Timothy Grayson, Billy Matthews, Jacob Zentz and David Grayson. Burial was in the Riley Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
