David Taylor

David E. Taylor, age 70, of Blue Rapids, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

 

Dave was born on September 5, 1953, in Topeka, to Clarence V. and Florence I. (Walker) Taylor.  After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army.  Later he married Yvonne “Kay” Claycamp on February 15, 1997 at Blue Rapids.  He worked for Twin Valley Developmental Services assisting in the maintenance department.

 

Dave loved dogs.  He enjoyed church activities at United Methodist Church in Blue Rapids.   He was storm spotter and a Ford guy. 

 

Survivors include his wife Kay and brother-in-law Greg (Cathy) Claycamp of Waynesville, North Carolina, and by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding Dave in death were his parents.

 

Viewing is from noon to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Christie-Anderes Funeral Home in Waterville.

 

Funeral services are at 10:00 am, Friday, June 7, 2024, at the United Methodist Church in Blue Rapids, with Pastor Shannon Borgman officiating.

 

Burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, north of Blue Rapids.

 

Memorials are suggested to either: Twin Valley Developmental Services or to the Blue Rapids United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Christie-Anderes Funeral Home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
