Della Mae Rudolph, age 99 of Riley, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Leonardville Nursing Home.
She was born on June 13, 1916 in Manhattan, the daughter of William and Ida (Wilkening) Jahnke.
On October 4, 1938 in Riley, she was married to Edwin G. Rudolph. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Della Mae was a homemaker and worked on the dairy farm for 41 years. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Riley Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son, James Rudolph and wife Candy of Riley; one brother, Harold Jahnke and wife Gladys of Powhattan; a son in law, Don Wyatt of Manhattan; four grandchildren, Kristina Wyatt, Keith Wyatt, Laura Reece and husband Steve and Joshua Parker and three great grandchildren, Lydia Mae Wyatt, Mazzy Mae Wyatt and Piper Reece.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Clyde Rudolph; one daughter, Judy Wyatt; two brothers, Roy Jahnke, Clarence Jahnke and three sisters, Alice Hayes, Elsie Thurber and Grace Morris.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Riley Cemetery with Rev. D. Erich Schwartz officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Monday at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:00 P.M. Monday.
Memorials have been established for the Leonardville Nursing Home and Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
