Elaine R. Bruns

Elaine R. Bruns 86, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her residence in Zapata, Texas. Mrs. Bruns was an active member of the United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Bruns and a son-in-law, John Arnold Oetinger. Mrs. Bruns is survived by her children, Kenneth N. Bruns and Colleen, Patricia L. Oetinger, Thomas N. Bruns and Marti and James N. Bruns; eight grandchildren, Joshua Bruns and Nikki, Jacob Bruns, Philip Oetinger and Jovanna Brackett, Tricia Hockett and Derik, Cathryn Love and Dallas, Sue Ann Sweeney and Jeff, Marilyn Russell and Andrew and Lori Redmond; six great-grandchildren, Mason Bruns, Jalynn and Deacon Hockett, Stella Ruth Sweeney, Adrian Russell and Evelyn Elaine Russell and by numerous other family members. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Riley Cemetery, east of Riley, Kansas.
