Karen Kay Evans, age 56 of Manhattan, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
She was born on August 20, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Cooper and Elizabeth Ann (Holt) Fishback.
On December 2, 2015 she was married to Herb Woodworth. He survives of the home.
Karen worked in the IT Department at Via Christi Hospital. She was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling, technology, outdoors and all animals.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kevin Evans and Courtney of Rancho Santa Margarita, California and Kyle Evans and Kelsey of Manhattan; three sisters, Carol Stalcup and Rob of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Nancy Smith and Dave of Edmond, Oklahoma and Suzie Marshall and Mark of Austin, Texas and four grandchildren, Jessica, Savanna, Brooke and Alexis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeremy Evans.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Grandview-Mill Creek Cemetery with Chaplain Carol Francis officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Karen Evans Memorial Fund to go towards her granddaughter’s education fund. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
