Linda C. Stockwell

Linda Carol Stockwell, age 67 of Riley, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Wakefield. She was born on July 6, 1947 in Enterprise, Alabama, the daughter of Cecil Edward and Dovey Louise (Jones) Gilley. After her father died when she was young, her mother married John Harju. They all preceded her in death. On September 9, 1972 in Ozark, Alabama, she was married to Lee Stockwell. He survives of the home. She was a CNA for Medicalodge of Clay Center, cooked at the Calico Inn, enjoyed gardening and flowers and being a simple homemaker. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Steve Stockwell of Leonardville and Stanley Stockwell of Searcy, Arkansas; two daughters, Deborah Blevins and Michael of Easton and Becky Roberts of Columbia, Missouri; four siblings, Marsha Graham of Daleville, Alabama, Anley Gilley of Enterprise, Alabama, Greg Gilley and Lisa Gilley, both of Daleville, Alabama; nine grandchildren and four great granchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Chris Blevins. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Sunday, where the family will receive friends from 4 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be in the Riley Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Golden Living Center and Meadowlark Hospice. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
