Marcus Anthony Perez, Sr., age 45 of Leonardville, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.
He was born on February 13, 1970 in National City, California, the son of Jesse and Debra Sue (Rodriguez) Perez.
He was married to Lisa Diann Brown in 2007 in Manhattan. She survives of the home.
He was a drywaller for Thatcher Drywall and enjoyed all sports, four wheeling and the San Diego Chargers. This coming August, he would have been sober for six years and he was very proud of that accomplishment.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by five children, Elizabeth Perez of Clay Center, Marcus Perez, Jr. of Clay Center, Roy Perez of Clay Center, Levi Smith of Leonardville and Camryn Perez of Leonardville; two siblings, Jay Perez and Sunshine Perez, both of San Diego, California; his father and mother in law, Bruce and Coleen Wheeler of Leonardville; his sister-in-law, Rose Cruden and fiance Ivan Baer of Riley and three grandchildren.
Cremation is planned and the family will have a celebration of his life at their home, the weekend of June 6, 2015.
A memorial fund has been established for the Marcus Perez Memorial Fund, to be determined at a later date. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
