Merlin Gail Haller, age 59 of Manhattan, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on July 28, 1956 in Manhattan, the son of Melvin George and Clema Marguerite (Hunter) Haller, Sr.
Merlin was a mechanic and worked for many businesses in Manhattan. He was a member of the Swede Creek United Methodist Church.
He was married to Rosmary Eileen Ridder on September 10, 1994 in St. George. She survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Melvin G. Haller, Jr. and wife Darlene of Randolph and Marvin Haller and wife Leslye of Manhattan; two sisters, Janice Petet of Topeka and Marsha Seymour and husband Michael of Council Grove; three step children, Kathryn Cyre and husband Mark of Sedgwick, Jimmy Wayne Humbert of Manhattan and Samantha Marie Humbert of Manhattan; seven step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, with Pastor Leslye Haller officiating. The family will visit with friends following the memorial service until 8:00 P.M. Private family inurnment will be held in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Swede Creek United Methodist Church and Kansas Fish and Game. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
