Neola Bruns

Neola B. Bruns, age 85, of Papillion, Nebraska and formerly of Manhattan, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Victoria Gardens in Bellevue, Nebraska. She was born on February 1, 1930 in Stockdale, the daughter of Royal B. and Mary Ellen (Henton) Springer. On November 6, 1949, she married Donald Bruns and they were happily married for 56 years until Donald’s passing in 2006. Her family remembers Neola as a warm and loving woman who will be sorely missed. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Lavoie of Papillion NE; granddaughters, Michelle Kelley (Seth Kelley) of Papillion and Stephanie Walker (Dan Walker) of Dallas; one sister, Beulah Litle and three great grandchildren, Emma, Cody and Addison Kelley. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Sunday, where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be in the Riley Cemetery. There will be a luncheon for family and friends starting at 11:30 A.M. Monday before the funeral at the Riley United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sedalia Community Church. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
