Rhonda Pierson

Rhonda R. Pierson, age 70, of Blue Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Rhonda was born in Marysville to Jack W. and Dorothy K. (Petr) Swearingen. She graduated from Linn High School in 1972. She was married to John “Randy” Pierson until his passing in 1996. She owned and operated 7-R’s Bar and Grill and the Daisy Cream in Blue Rapids for many years.

She especially loved spending time with her grandson Raylan and time at family gatherings. She loved to cook and being around people, so 7-R’s allowed her the best of both worlds. In her free time she enjoyed painting, listening to music, and watching DIY shows on TV.

Preceding Rhonda in death were her parents Jack and Dorothy, her husband John Pierson, her children Jeremy Pierson and Katie Pierson and a brother and sister-in-law Rankin and Sheron Swearingen.

Survivors include her brothers and sister: Randy (Deb) Swearingen of Waterville, Rob (Karen) Swearingen of Blue Rapids, Rodney (Crystal) Swearingen of Blue Rapids, Ryan Swearingen and partner Heather of Olathe, and Regina Pierson of Blue Rapids, along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are planned for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Christie-Anderes Funeral Home in Waterville. Inurnment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, north of Blue Rapids.
